Not Enough Power

Now it's a shame

That you thought you knew it all,

and you couldn't change,

not even when the leaves began to fall.

Its such a shame, that you thought you would be spared, when winter came,

and caught you unprepared.

When there's not enough power.

Soon there will be not enough energy to build this new technology.

When theres not enough power, there's not enough power.

At this corruption of the state,

You'll find you've left it far to late

To void your own destruction implement these new instructions.

How do you expect to carry on when all the fuel is burned

And nuclear reactors faulter, toxic waste is not the answer.

Now its a shame, you can't see beyond your greed, and complacancy,

Even as the sky begins to bleed.

Its such a shame, you are not moved that when the ocean swells, you'll be destroyed by what you were destroying.

When there's not enough power.

Soon there will be not enough energy to build this new technology.

They'll block each new equation with the usual truth evasions

How do you eaxpect to carry on when all the fuel is burned and, theres not enough power.

So will our history tell, of a land that fell

To the selfish creed of a scavenger breed.

And those in control, have no real control

When the ocean swells and the sky can't stop the burning.

Now its a shame,

that you couldn't change,

And winter came.

You'll be restored by what you were destroying.
